How To Make a Website Easy to Read?

Your school’s website first of all is content that you create and share with your community. So, only, when you have a nicely organized and readable content, we can talk about the technical part of your website.

So, today we would like to share 4 simple actions you can take to make your school’s website easy to read.

1. Less is more – use the least possible formatting options. Bold, italic, list, numbers, headings and citations should be enough to create an easy to read piece of content. No need for different fonts, colors, various underlines etc. 
2. Split your content – if your page has so much text that you can’t read it in a few scrolls, you have too much text. Maybe you can split the content and use it in 2 different posts or places on your website?
3. Use paragraphs – avoid huge chunks of text. If your paragraph is very long, split it into 2, 3, 4 paragraphs to make it more pleasant to read. If you can use heading, numbers or bullet points, do that too!
4.  Avoid monotony – a web page is not just text, use images, documents, lists etc.
